Eight Apparel
Eight is a rowing apparel brand. They offer a range of clothing and accessories for the keen rower. Formed in 2018 by members of the Birmingham University Rowing Team ‘Eight’ has expanded out of it’s hometown.
Challenge
‘Eight’ (Formerly ‘Montague’) were looking at re-branding from their former name (‘Montague’) to 'Eight' and upgrading their brand identity along with it. We looked at simplifying the logo to make a stronger mark and work at all sizes that would be needed.

Streamlining the mark
By taking away all complex elements of the logo It created a much more memorable mark and one that was more symbolic of a rowing eight. As well as the mark we also upgraded the typeface to a more modern style that will age well with the brand. We adjusted the colours to be more representative of the brand's English heritage creating a take on the union jack palette.
Creative Deploy applied their extensive knowledge to our logo. it is now much nicer to look at and more representative of our brand. We feel that our image now has been perfectly encapsulated in our simple, but eye-catching new logo design.
